On Law and Liberty in Contemporary Ghana (The J.B. Danquah Memorial Lecture, Series 41)

This 41st series of the J.B. Danquah Lectures discusses the two sides to the concept of liberty, namely: “liberty from” and “liberty to”. “Liberty from” refers to the right to be free from intrusions from the State and others. “Liberty to” refers to the right of individuals to participate in the processes of government and to share in the political power of their community or State. These lectures explore liberty in both these senses.
